Straightforward, download from the website, mount the dmg, and start the installer.
Only trick is how to get the MPLABC 18 lite installed:
The downloaded file is mplabc18.app. In a Mac, it think it is an very old application, so refuses to open it.
According to the forum, it is actually a zip file, you have to rename the file to .zip then unzip it. After that you will see a dmg file, then mount and install.
Need to Manually setup toolchains:
In MPLAB X, in the menu, choose Preferences. Then "Embedded" Tab, in "Build Tools", click add. Navigate to the "bin" directory of the toolchain. Then click open. It will be added.
Same manual setup is needed for HI-TECH PICC18.
